Solar Simplified

Carolina Solar Energy develops large solar PV projects in the Southeast. Projects can be either turnkey/design-build or “solar host” projects where, CSE and its financial partners build, own, and operate solar generators at non-profit and for-profit companies or government facilities with no cost to the host.

CSE’s principals have years of experience in real estate, construction, and advanced technologies and all aspects of solar design, equipment selection, purchasing, construction and financing. CSE also provides operations and maintenance for its turnkey clients to minimize in house requirements of a solar project owner and to maximize the project’s electric and Renewable Energy Credit (REC’s) output.

CSE has developed the legal and financial solutions which solve the puzzle of how to develop solar projects by fully monetizing the Federal and North Carolina solar tax credits. This aspect of a solar project is the most difficult to successfully accomplish. In addition CSE has the necessary knowledge and contacts to provide the necessary insurance, power purchase agreement (PPA) and REC contracts to make a project complete.

With all these project requirements in place CSE’s team of solar design, engineering and construction professionals can bring a project on line in a fraction of the time any other generating technology would require. Typically the design, equipment selection and permitting phase of a project will take 6 to 8 months. Project construction time can be between 1 and 4 months depending on project size, design, site characteristics and product availability.
