In August 2012 Carolina Solar Energy partnered with Piedmont Electric Cooperative to design, finance, construct, permit and commission a 240 kWdc (200 kWac) solar farm located on 3 acres of land in Timberlake NC.

Carolina Solar Energy was awarded a 10-year power purchase agreement (PPA) from Piedmont Electric Membership Cooperative (PEMC) to sell the energy, capacity and renewable energy certificates (RECs).

The PV Solar system will generate approximately 360,000 kWh each year.

This estimated annual power production will be equivalent to:

• The annual energy needed to power 33 Average American homes

• Not discharging approximately 240 Metric Tons of CO2 from a fossil fuel plant
